The profile I refer to translated his motto into English as ‘be strong to the strong, be weak to the weak’. It looks well-translated and I just want to add some. If I correctly understand, the sentence implies that he is a man of principle. He appears to hate opportunism or meanness: being servile to the people with power/wealth, but harsh to the weak.

I want to translate what he said like this: 'a guy who was passionate and always did his best in life’ And this reminds me of movie 'Godfather'.

Some people gossiped that it might not be a coincidence that the movie Dr. Bong and Dr. An watched together was what his friend Im, changjeong (임창정) starred in, but who knows.

He quit smoking on April 19, 2002. It was just too common that a guy in pain or distress is smoking on TV, but now smoking on TV programs is banned. It’s helpful to keep him smoking free, I believe.
